By playing on Zathroth you agree to follow all rules listed below.
Ignorance is not a valid excuse. Violations may result in a permanent ban without warning.
General Rules
1.1No Cheating or Hacking
The use of bots, macros, auto-hotkeys, speed hacks, packet editors, or any third-party software that gives an unfair advantage is strictly forbidden. This includes AFK scripts and auto-trainers.
1.2No Bug Abuse
Exploiting bugs or glitches for personal gain is prohibited. If you find a bug, report it immediately to the staff. Failure to do so will result in a ban.
1.3One Account Per Player
Each player is allowed to have only one account. Multi-accounting to gain unfair advantages (e.g. blocking spawns, powerleveling) is not permitted.
1.4Account Sharing
Sharing your account is at your own risk. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Staff will not help with losses caused by account sharing.
1.5Respect Other Players
All players deserve to be treated with respect. Harassment, bullying, or targeting other players with the intent to ruin their experience is not tolerated.
1.6Character Names
Character names must not contain offensive, racist, sexual, or discriminatory words. Names imitating staff members or other players are also forbidden.
Chat Rules
2.1No Spamming
Sending the same or similar messages repeatedly in any channel is prohibited. This includes flooding trade channels with repeated offers.
2.2No Offensive Language
Insults, hate speech, racism, sexism, or any form of discrimination in public or private chat is strictly forbidden. Keep conversations respectful.
2.3No Advertising
Advertising other OT servers, websites, or services in any channel is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban.
2.4English in Public Channels
Please use English in public channels (Default, Trade, World) so everyone can understand. You may use any language in private messages or guild chat.
2.5No Scamming via Chat
Attempting to scam players through false trade offers or misleading statements in chat is forbidden. Report scam attempts to staff.
Gameplay Rules
3.1No Spawn Blocking
Intentionally blocking spawns or hunting areas to prevent other players from playing (especially using summons or characters to lure) is prohibited.
3.2No Kill Stealing
Intentionally stealing kills or loot from another player's hunt is considered unsportsmanlike and may result in a warning or ban.
3.3No Luring
Luring monsters to kill other players or destroy their equipment without consent is forbidden. Luring into towns or protection zones is also prohibited.
3.4No Real Money Trading (RMT)
Selling, buying, or trading in-game items, characters, or accounts for real money outside of official donation channels is strictly forbidden.
3.5Fair PvP
PvP is allowed in designated zones. Excessive skulling, skull trapping, or using multiple accounts to repeatedly kill the same player is not allowed.
Trade Rules
4.1No Scamming
Any form of trade scam — including bait-and-switch, fake items, or misleading item descriptions — is strictly forbidden and will result in a permanent ban.
4.2Trade at Your Own Risk
Staff will not mediate trades between players. Always double-check items and prices before completing a trade. Use the in-game trade window when possible.
4.3Donations Are Final
All donations are final and non-refundable. By donating you agree to the terms of service. Chargebacks will result in a permanent account ban.
Staff Rules
5.1Do Not Impersonate Staff
Pretending to be a game master, admin, or any staff member is strictly forbidden. Staff will never ask for your password.
5.2Respect Staff Decisions
Staff decisions are final. If you disagree with a decision, appeal through the official channels. Arguing, insulting, or threatening staff will worsen your situation.
5.3How to Report a Player
To report a rule violation, contact a Game Master in-game or post in the forum's Report section. Include screenshots or evidence.
5.4Staff Will Never Ask for Your Password
No staff member will ever ask for your account password or personal information. If someone does, report them immediately.
